Tedderfield Airpark Summer Time Fly In 23 November 2024

By Willie Bodenstein

Tedderfield Airpark situated south of Johannesburg and west of Alberton and close to Ennerdale this year again pulled out all the stops as far a fly ins were concerned. Thirty-five plus aircraft visited yesterday's Summer Time Fly in and Alan Stewart surely needs praise for organising these popular events.

That, however, is not the end of it. Next Saturday 23 November the Club will host a Wings of Generosity Evening as well as the launch of its new pub.

As always, the Park's field was in excellent condition and a nice touch is the two large banners at each end of the runway welcoming visitors to Tedderfield Air Park.

Breakfast, as always, was on the house and the cool interior of the spacious thatched clubhouse as well as the shady patio was a popular place to meet and eat and share stories with friends.

Another is the very informative tour of the Sling factory. On Saturday more than thirty people joined the tour led by Andrew Pittman.
