Silver Creek Aviation Estate is located next to the N14 highway about 30 kilometres from Pretoria. The estate is an exclusive upmarket establishment with a focus on the aviator or aviatrix who looks to have his or her aircraft kept in a central location between Johannesburg and Pretoria.
The weekend of 28 and 29 September was one of those when aviators were spoiled for choice with the Heidelberg Train Race, the Tedderfield Fly In, The ANR rally at Sannieshof and the Eagles Creek camp over and pancake fly in. However, the weather did to some extend interfere with most. I believe that 70 people reserved for the Saturday spit braai and seventy actually did attend.
Captain Karl Jensen and I drove through on Sunday in his boulevard cruiser and spend a wonderful morning amongst friends. Thirty aircraft attended.
