As Southern Africa's premier trade event for the General Aviation industry, the fourth edition of AERO South Africa remained the ultimate platform to showcase the very best that this sector has to offer. Organized by Messe Frankfurt South Africa in partnership with fairnamic GmbH, the joint venture of Messe Frankfurt and Messe Friedrichshafen, AERO South Africa continues as it matures to gather momentum.









Held since its inception in 2020 at Wonderboom National Airport on the outskirts of northern Pretoria AERO South Africa, allows for aircraft fly-ins, demo flights, and an immersive experience for serious prospective buyers. It's an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their products and for attendees from across the country to conveniently attend and network during three-day long event.









In 2023 just short of 3,000 trade visitors from 21 countries attended the event that covered almost 6,200 sqm/m. Sixty exhibitors made this the GA Trade events not to be missed. One hundred and sixteen pilots flew in making Wonderboom one of the busiest airports during the three days.









The 2023 event had a 93% visitors satisfaction rating while 90% indicated that they would definitely visit again.

Besides the exhibitor's trade visitors were spoiled for choice and were able to engage with top industry leaders and exhibitors, gain exclusive insights from panel discussions on aviation safety, drone technology, see live flight demonstrations. Aero's Youth Development Programme is a gateway to a career in aviation. It this year again the youth to have another opportunity to learn from industry experts and get inspired by aviation professionals.

A unique opportunity to drone pilots were the all for all certified drone pilots to partake in Aero's "Build your hours programme” during the three-day event. Qualified pilots who are unemployed and looking to build logbook hours were urged to register to be able to fly a registered drone at the event and add to your hours and skills.

Aero's also offered prospective aircraft buyers the opportunity to at first hand witness flight demonstrations of some of the latest releases in the GA market.
